Military exercises begin in Klaipėda and surrounding areas

Military exercises have started in Klaipėda and its surrounding areas, the Lithuanian army announced on Monday, as reported by BNS.

The drills will take place in the territory of Klaipėda State Seaport and the port canal. The exercises aim to strengthen coordination among Lithuanian military units and improve relocation capabilities.

Soldiers will carry out various tactical tasks, involving military equipment, ships, boats, and a helicopter. Some episodes of the exercises will use imitation ammunition, so gunfire sounds may be heard.

The drills are scheduled to last until Sunday.
