Another “Vilnia naša” graffiti found in Vilnius

Vilnius police have discovered another instance of the phrase “Vilnia naša” (Vilnius is ours) written in Cyrillic on an electrical box in the capital, LRT reports.

The Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat stated that officers noticed the graffiti on Perkūnkiemio Street around 7:55 AM on Thursday. Authorities have opened an investigation into minor property damage under the Criminal Code.

This is not the first such incident. A similar inscription was previously found on a pedestrian bridge near the Vilnius Western Bypass.

Under the Criminal Code, those who demonstrate disrespect to others or the environment through hooliganism, threats, malicious mischief, or vandalism in public places, thereby disrupting public order, may face penalties including community service, fines, restriction of liberty, arrest, or imprisonment for up to two years.
