Latvian president to make state visit to Lithuania

Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs will visit Lithuania on Wednesday and Thursday at the invitation of President Gitanas Nausėda, the Lithuanian presidency announced.

During the state visit, the leaders will discuss bilateral relations, regional security and defence issues, as well as support for Ukraine. A joint press conference is scheduled for Wednesday at the presidential palace in Vilnius.

The programme also includes a joint Lithuanian-Latvian business forum on defence and security, and a visit to the liquefied natural gas terminal in Klaipėda.
