Lithuania’s acting PM thanks outgoing Ukrainian PM Svyrydenko

Lithuania’s acting Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė has thanked outgoing Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko for her leadership and cooperation, reaffirming Lithuania’s unwavering support for Ukraine.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Ruginienė wrote: “Thank you for your leadership, your dedication to Ukraine, and for the strong friendship and cooperation we have built together. It has been an honour to stand with you in supporting Ukraine’s fight for freedom.”

She added: “Lithuania’s support for Ukraine remains unshaken. We will continue to stand with Ukraine and its people for as long as it takes.”

Svyrydenko resigned from her post on Sunday following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s announcement of a government reshuffle. Zelensky stated that Svyrydenko would take on a new role, overseeing cooperation with Ukraine’s key partners, and that the Cabinet of Ministers would be updated as part of the planned changes.
