Fire reported in Kaunas prison cell

Firefighters in Kaunas received a report of a fire in a prison cell just before midnight on Thursday, according to the Kaunas Fire and Rescue Board under the Fire Protection and Rescue Department (PAGD).

The incident was reported at 23:06 on A. Mickevičiaus Street in Kaunas. Authorities confirmed that a cell occupied by an inmate had caught fire, but the blaze was extinguished by those present. A fire investigator has been informed, and the cause is under investigation.
