Outgoing Health Minister Marija Jakubauskienė says she would consider an offer from prime minister-designate Mindaugas Sinkevičius to serve as his advisor, if such a proposal is made.

“When there is an offer, I will consider it. So far, I have not received one,” she told BNS in the government building on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, during a meeting with a mixed group of MPs, Sinkevičius said that if he becomes prime minister, he intends to invite Jakubauskienė to join his team.

Jakubauskienė must leave her post as health minister under an agreement among Social Democratic delegates, as the portfolio was allocated to the Democratic Union “For Lithuania” after it joined the ruling coalition. The party has nominated former Social Security and Labour Minister and MP Linas Kukuraitis for the position.
