Scammers trick woman out of €7,000 and bank cards in Švenčionys district

Scammers posing as police officers defrauded a 75-year-old woman of €7,000 and her bank payment cards in the Švenčionys district, reports LRT.
According to the Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat, a report was received on Sunday stating that on June 26, unknown individuals, identifying themselves as police officers, deceived the woman in Švenčionys district. A pre-trial investigation has been launched for fraud and the impersonation of a state official or a person performing public administration functions.
