Heatwave continues in Lithuania on Saturday
Lithuania is experiencing a continuing heatwave, with temperatures expected to reach up to 33°C on Saturday, according to LRT Radio and LRT.lt.
Meteorologist Elena Kliukina forecasts mostly clear skies, with temperatures ranging from 28–33°C inland and 25–27°C along the coast. Winds will be southwest to west at 5–10 m/s, and no rain is expected. Authorities advise taking precautions against strong sunlight, especially in the afternoon, and note that the heat will persist overnight.
Sunday will also remain dry, with temperatures climbing to 31–36°C inland and 27–30°C on the coast. Winds will be light at night and southwest to west at 4–9 m/s during the day.
Monday may bring brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas, with temperatures still high at 32–37°C inland and around 30°C on the coast. Cooler weather is expected to arrive gradually after Monday.
