Temperatures to reach 30 degrees in coming days
Temperatures in Lithuania will climb to 30 degrees Celsius in the coming days, according to a forecast by the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, as reported by LRT.
After a warm and dry Midsummer Night, clouds have reached the northern regions of the country. However, the day will remain warm, with light rain expected only in some areas, said Paulius Starkus, a synoptist at the service.
On Wednesday, cloud cover will increase, with denser clouds over northern regions. Some areas may see light rain, and winds will strengthen, but temperatures will still rise to 21–26 degrees. Wednesday night will see scattered clouds, with possible brief showers until midnight. Winds will calm, and nighttime temperatures will range from 12–17 degrees.
Thursday will begin with a sunny morning, followed by a cloudy day. Brief showers and possible thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon. Winds will remain moderate, with temperatures reaching 23–28 degrees.
Friday will see the influence of a high-pressure field. Clouds will clear quickly overnight, leaving a clear sky and calm winds. Nighttime temperatures will stay between 11–16 degrees. The day will be sunny with minimal rain probability, and temperatures will rise to 25–30 degrees. Even warmer weather is expected over the weekend.
