Girl injured in Marijampolė after flammable liquid burns

A minor was hospitalised in Marijampolė on Friday evening after suffering burns from a flammable liquid, according to initial reports from the Lithuanian police.

At approximately 19:50, emergency services transported the girl, born in 2017, from her home to a hospital in Marijampolė. Due to the severity of her burns, she was later transferred to a medical facility in Kaunas for further treatment.

Preliminary police information indicates the incident occurred in the yard of her residence, where the child came into contact with the flammable liquid. Authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into the minor’s non-severe health impairment.
