Suspicious object found in SEB bank building in Vilnius, Shield plan activated

Vilnius police activated the Shield emergency plan and partially evacuated a SEB bank building in the capital on Thursday after a suspicious object was reported inside, LRT reports.

According to Julija Samorokvskaja, a spokesperson for the Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat, authorities received a report at 8:25 AM from a bank security employee about a suspicious item in the ATM area of the SEB bank building on Konstitucijos Avenue. The Shield plan was declared at 8:54 AM, leading to a partial evacuation of the building.

Preliminary information suggests the object causing concern was a sticky-tape-wrapped item found in the ATM space.
