Suspected drugs found in soldier’s car in Žasliai
Police in Žasliai discovered suspected narcotic substances in a car driven by an off-duty Lithuanian soldier, the LRT news portal reports.
According to the Police Department, officers stopped a BMW 330 in Žasliai, Kaišiadorys district, at around 18:49 on Tuesday. The driver, a sober Lithuanian Army serviceman born in 2004, was not on duty at the time.
During a search of the vehicle, police found and seized a sealed polyethylene bag containing a plant-based substance suspected to be a narcotic drug. Authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into the unlawful possession of narcotic or psychotropic substances without intent to distribute.
