Lithuania to see summer-like warmth with temperatures reaching 27°C
Lithuania will experience summer-like warmth this week, with temperatures climbing as high as 27°C in some areas, according to the latest forecast from the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, as reported by LRT.
While the heat arrives, brief showers, thunderstorms, and stronger wind gusts are also expected, said meteorologist Tadas Kantautas. Overnight, skies will mostly clear with light cloud cover, minimal rain chances—highest in western and southwestern regions—and patchy fog. Morning temperatures will dip to 6–11°C.
On Tuesday, cloud cover will increase, with scattered afternoon showers, particularly in western areas. Winds will be light and variable, though thunderstorms may bring stronger gusts. Daytime highs will reach 21–26°C, cooler near the coast at 17–20°C.
Wednesday night will see clearing skies, with only brief, isolated showers possible early in the evening. Light southeasterly winds will persist, and temperatures will drop to 9–14°C. Daytime will bring more clouds but little rain, with noticeable southeasterly winds and highs of 21–26°C.
Thursday will remain mostly dry, with light nighttime clouds thickening during the day. Rain chances stay low, and winds will strengthen from the southeast. Overnight lows will hover around 10–15°C, while daytime highs will range from 20–25°C.
By Friday, a weather front will approach from the west, increasing rainfall—especially in the southwest, where heavy downpours and thunderstorms are possible. Despite the rain, summer-like warmth will persist, with overnight lows of 11–16°C and daytime highs of 22–27°C (18–21°C near the coast).
The weekend will bring similar conditions: warm temperatures with scattered showers, primarily in the southwest.
