Lithuanian public institution reports €250,000 stolen from its accounts

A Lithuanian public institution has filed a police report after €250,000 was unlawfully transferred from its accounts to third-party individuals, the BNS news agency reported on Tuesday.

The institution, which has not been named, informed authorities that the funds were moved from two of its branch accounts without authorisation. Police confirmed they have launched an investigation into the incident.
