Man threatens two minors in public area of Vilnius

A 41-year-old man threatened two underage girls in a public area of Vilnius on Monday, police reported.

According to the Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat, the intoxicated man—with a blood alcohol level of 2.71‰—threatened the minors, born in 2013 and 2014, around 5:30 p.m. in the capital. A pre-trial investigation has been launched for disturbing public order.

Under Lithuanian law, those who demonstrate disrespect to others or the environment through aggressive actions, threats, insults, or vandalism in public may face penalties including community service, fines, restriction of liberty, arrest, or imprisonment for up to two years.
