Lithuania’s state broadcaster LRT reports that a drone detection system is being tested in Kaunas district on May 25–26, including trials with Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The tests will cover areas including Juragiai, Rokai training ground, Linksmakalnis, and Pajiesys Forest. Drones of various types, including Shahed models, will operate at altitudes between 250 and 1,000 meters.

Residents who observe drones in the area are advised to remain calm, as the flights are pre-planned and pose no danger. The trials aim to evaluate low-altitude airspace monitoring and drone detection solutions.

Technical details about the system and testing procedures are available from the organizer, the Lithuanian Radio and Television Centre (LRT Centre).
