Summer-like warmth and scattered showers expected in Lithuania this weekend
Lithuania will see summer-like temperatures and brief rain showers over the weekend, according to the country’s Hydrometeorological Service.
Forecaster Simona Dalinkevičiūtė told LRT that a high-pressure system will bring warm weather, with daytime temperatures reaching 18–23°C (64–73°F) inland and 13–17°C (55–63°F) along the coast. However, an approaching atmospheric front will also deliver scattered showers.
Friday night will be mostly clear, with patchy fog in western regions and light winds. Temperatures will drop to 5–10°C (41–50°F). On Saturday, skies will turn partly cloudy, with isolated showers—particularly in the northeast—where brief, light rain is expected. Winds will strengthen to moderate speeds. Coastal areas will remain cooler.
The front will move in fully on Sunday, bringing more widespread cloud cover and intermittent rain both day and night. Low temperatures will range from 7–12°C (45–54°F), while daytime highs will again reach 18–23°C (64–73°F) inland and 13–17°C (55–63°F) near the Baltic Sea.
Early next week, conditions will remain unsettled. Monday will start dry, but afternoon showers are likely, especially in the northeast, with temperatures peaking at 17–22°C (63–72°F). Stronger winds up to 13 m/s (29 mph) are expected. By Tuesday, gusts may reach 15–18 m/s (34–40 mph), with scattered showers continuing and temperatures cooling slightly to 15–20°C (59–68°F).
