Woman in Ventė accused of assaulting two young girls

A 1996-born woman in the Lithuanian coastal village of Ventė is under investigation for allegedly assaulting two underage girls, aged five and ten, LRT reports.

Police launched a pre-trial investigation after receiving a report from the Šiauliai County Child Rights Protection Office. The woman is suspected of causing physical pain or minor health impairment to the girls, born in 2018 and 2023, at an unspecified time in her home.

The case is being examined under articles of the Criminal Code related to physical abuse and minor bodily harm.
