Man injured woman with knife in Vilnius district, police report

A man allegedly stabbed a woman with a knife in Vilnius district on Monday evening, Lithuanian police have confirmed.

According to the Police Department, the incident occurred at 16:39 local time in Juodšiliai village, where a 38-year-old man, reportedly intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 3.15‰, attacked a 42-year-old woman during a drinking session. The victim was hospitalised, while the suspect, born in 1988, was taken into custody.

Authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into charges of causing physical harm or minor bodily injury.
