Latvian police request help in hunt for ATM robbers linked to Lithuania
Latvian authorities have asked Lithuanian police to assist in tracking down suspects wanted for ATM robberies after their trail led across the border, LRT.lt reports.
Panevėžys County Police confirmed they are searching for multiple individuals believed to have carried out the crime. Latvian police contacted Lithuanian officers at 11:46 AM, reporting that suspects in the ATM thefts had left Latvian territory. A containment plan, codenamed “Arrest,” has been activated in Pasvalys district, where the wanted individuals are thought to be hiding.
Officers have located a vehicle linked to the suspects. Authorities urge anyone who spots the individuals—shown in released photos—to immediately call emergency services at 112.
