Lithuania will experience contrasting weather conditions on Friday, with rain expected in the south and sunshine in the west and north, according to the country’s Hydrometeorological Service.

Elena Kliukina, a synoptist at the service, told LRT Radio that southern regions will see overcast skies with scattered showers, some potentially heavy, along with a chance of thunderstorms. Meanwhile, western and northern Lithuania will enjoy sunny spells with temperatures reaching 13–18°C. Winds will blow from the northeast at 8–13 m/s.

On Saturday, southeastern and eastern areas may experience heavy rain overnight, with temperatures ranging from 6–11°C, though western regions could see slightly warmer conditions at 12–15°C. Winds will shift to a northerly direction, strengthening to 9–14 m/s. Rainfall will persist in the east during the day.

Sunday will bring warmer weather, with temperatures climbing to 13–18°C, though eastern regions may remain cooler at 10–12°C. Nighttime lows will hover around 2–8°C, with ground frost possible in some areas, dipping to 0–5°C below freezing.

Monday’s forecast suggests a brief respite from rain in the east, while western Lithuania may see short-lived showers. Wind and temperature shifts remain unpredictable.
