Lithuanian police search for fugitive suspected of large-scale drug and weapons offences

Lithuanian police are searching for a 40-year-old man wanted in connection with organised drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, state broadcaster LRT reported on Monday.

Tadas Juchnevičius, born in 1986, is suspected of involvement in a criminal group dealing with “a very large quantity of narcotics,” as well as unlawful possession of weapons and ammunition, according to Vilnius County Police. Authorities believe he has fled Lithuania and may be residing in the United Kingdom, possibly in or around Manchester.

Police describe Juchnevičius as cautious and likely to have altered his appearance, warning he may not resemble published photos. He is considered to be operating under concealment.

A European Arrest Warrant has been issued for his detention. Members of the public with information on his whereabouts are urged to contact Lithuanian police at +370 700 56097 or report to UK authorities.
