Summer warmth to sweep into Lithuania this weekend
Lithuania will see summer-like temperatures arrive this weekend, according to forecasts from the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service (LHMT).
Meteorologist Simona Dalinkevičiūtė predicts temperatures will climb to 13–18°C in most regions, reaching 21–26°C in some areas, with predominantly sunny skies.
On Saturday, high-pressure conditions will bring thin cloud cover with no rain expected. Light winds will persist, with morning temperatures between 1–6°C, dipping to 0–5°C in western regions. By afternoon, skies will clear completely, with temperatures rising to 19–24°C in most areas and 13–18°C in the west.
Sunday will see increasing cloudiness as a small cyclone approaches from the west, bringing brief showers and stronger winds of 7–12 m/s. Temperatures will peak at 21–26°C, though western regions may see slightly cooler conditions at 15–20°C.
Early next week, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible on Monday, with temperatures remaining warm at 21–26°C. A slight cooldown is expected on Tuesday, with highs of 17–22°C, though southeastern regions could still reach 26°C.
