Lithuania to see spring chill replaced by weekend temperatures up to 23°C
Lithuania’s unseasonably cool spring weather will give way to much warmer conditions by the weekend, with highs reaching 23°C in some areas, the country’s Hydrometeorological Service reports.
Forecaster Janas Vaitkevičius told national broadcaster LRT that Wednesday will bring scattered light rain, mostly in southern regions, with winds of 9–14 m/s and daytime temperatures climbing to 7–12°C. Thursday will remain cool, with possible light precipitation in the north and overnight frost in some areas, though coastal regions will stay just above freezing at 0–3°C.
Dry and significantly warmer weather is expected from Friday through Sunday. While patchy frost may linger early Friday, temperatures will rise to 13–18°C by day and peak at 18–23°C on Sunday, though coastal areas will remain several degrees cooler.
