Psychic accused of scamming Klaipėda district resident out of €32,000

A woman from Klaipėda district has reported losing €32,000 to a psychic who allegedly defrauded her during remote sessions, Lithuanian police confirmed on Monday.

According to the LRT news service, the victim, born in 1973, contacted authorities after realising she had been scammed between April 6 and April 13. The woman claimed the psychic convinced her to transfer the money during phone consultations and distant healing sessions.

Police have launched a pre-trial fraud investigation into the case. No further details about the suspect or the methods used have been released.
