A Lithuanian prosecutor has requested pretrial detention for all three suspects in the murder of paramedic Mantas Sadauskas, state news agency BNS reported Tuesday.

Prosecutor Donatas Skrebiškis asked the court to order the strictest preventive measure—three months’ detention—for two of the suspects, while the third would face one month in custody. All three were taken into police custody earlier this week.

Sadauskas, a 30-year-old emergency medical worker, disappeared Monday morning after driving a white Hyundai truck to a property in Paliukai village, Panevėžys district, to install a trampoline. His body was found buried on the same property the following day, along with trampoline remnants and a firearm. Investigators believe the killing may have stemmed from a personal conflict.

Among those detained is Sadauskas’s ex-wife, Justina Gaigalaitė, a champion bodybuilder and fitness competitor in Lithuanian and international tournaments. Authorities confirmed that two of the three suspects have prior criminal records, with unexpired convictions.

The pretrial investigation covers three alleged offenses: unlawful deprivation of liberty, premeditated murder, and illegal possession of firearms.
