Visitor dies after medical emergency at Lithuanian presidential palace

A man died at Lithuania’s presidential palace on Wednesday after suffering a sudden health crisis near a security post, the president’s office reported.

Emergency medical responders and State Security Department officers attempted to revive the visitor using a defibrillator, according to a statement from the presidency. Paramedics continued resuscitation efforts upon arrival, but the man did not survive.

President Gitanas Nausėda expressed condolences to the deceased’s family. Authorities confirmed the visitor was not a public figure and declined to provide further details.
