A Lithuanian appeals court has upheld a prison sentence of over six years for Algimantas Ulvidas, who was convicted of repeatedly exposing himself to 25 underage girls between 2016 and 2018, LRT reports.

The Kaunas Regional Court, acting as an appellate instance, rejected Ulvidas’ appeal on Tuesday, leaving the original verdict unchanged. The decision is final and took effect immediately.

“The court has dismissed all your arguments regarding the classification of actions as a continuous offence, the critical evaluation of witnesses and their testimonies, and claims of provocation,” Judge Gytis Večerskas told the defendant during the remote hearing.

Ulvidas, who attended the session via video link from prison, had appealed the July 2025 ruling by the Kaunas District Court, which sentenced him to six years and nine months in prison for luring girls into a forest near Karmėlava and exposing himself to them on at least 50 occasions.

The case is one of several involving the same defendant. Last week, Lithuania’s Supreme Court upheld a separate two-year and five-month sentence for Ulvidas in a similar case involving 11 underage victims. He is already serving that term after the Kaunas Regional Court confirmed his guilt in August 2025.

The appellate court has also begun reviewing a third case, in which Ulvidas was sentenced to 18 months in prison last December for exposing himself to three minors. He has challenged all rulings against him, arguing his actions were driven by a psychological compulsion to undress in public. Courts have repeatedly ruled that his offences were committed willfully.

Ulvidas has multiple prior convictions for exposing himself to minors under 16 and possession of pornographic material.
