Dry and sunny start to the week with overnight frosts down to -6°C

The beginning of the week will bring dry and sunny weather across Lithuania, though overnight frosts of 1–6°C below freezing are expected, according to the country’s Hydrometeorological Service.

Tadas Kantautas, a forecaster with the service, told LRT Radio that Monday will start clear, with increasing cloud cover later in the day but no rain. Winds will blow from the north and northeast at moderate strength, with daytime temperatures reaching 9–14°C.

Tuesday will see mostly clear skies, with light winds at night strengthening slightly from the north and northwest during the day. Overnight frosts will drop to -1–6°C, with ground-level temperatures potentially lower in places. Daytime highs will climb to 11–16°C, though coastal areas will remain cooler.

Wednesday’s weather will remain similar, with clear nights and partly cloudy days. No precipitation is forecast, though northwesterly winds will pick up. Frost will persist overnight, while daytime temperatures will reach 12–17°C inland and 9–11°C near the coast.

Later in the week, conditions are expected to shift as cooler air arrives, bringing scattered light rain and stronger northwesterly winds, which will make temperatures feel colder. Rainfall will be minimal.
