Lithuanian prime minister sends Easter greetings to Old Believers and Orthodox Christians
Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė has extended Easter greetings to Lithuania’s Old Believer and Orthodox Christian communities, marking their celebration of the holiday this Sunday, reports LRT.
In her message, Ruginienė called the occasion a time for peace and joy found in fellowship, urging reflection amid global tensions. “May worry and uncertainty—so often felt in today’s tense world—fade away, and may the awakening of nature remind us of the light that always returns,” she said.
The prime minister encouraged individuals to “be that source of light ourselves—in our communities and in society,” adding: “Let us see and extend a hand to those who need our attention most.”
She concluded by wishing that the holiday bring “brightness and joy to every heart and home.”
