Lithuania to see changeable weekend weather before warmer spring temperatures return

Lithuania will experience changeable weather with cool nights over the weekend before warmer spring temperatures return next week, the country’s Hydrometeorological Service told national broadcaster LRT on Thursday.

Friday will bring high-pressure conditions with scattered clouds and sunny spells, though rainfall remains unlikely. Northwesterly winds of moderate strength will push daytime temperatures to between 7°C and 12°C.

The weekend forecast remains unsettled. Saturday night will be mostly clear with temperatures dipping below freezing, ranging from –4°C to 1°C. A low-pressure system approaching from the east will bring overcast skies to eastern regions on Saturday, while western areas see more sunshine. Daytime highs will again reach 7–12°C.

Sunday will be cloudy with occasional sunny breaks and continued moderate northwesterly winds. Nighttime lows will hover between –3°C and 2°C, with daytime highs of 7–12°C.

Warmer conditions are expected early next week, with Monday’s temperatures climbing to 10–15°C and Tuesday reaching 11–16°C.
