Lithuania will experience changeable weather this week, with rain expected in the eastern regions early on, but Easter Sunday will bring dry and spring-like warmth, according to the country’s hydrometeorological service.

Teresė Kaunienė, a forecaster at Lithuania’s Hydrometeorological Service, said a low-pressure system with an atmospheric front will approach from the east on Monday night, bringing overcast skies and rain to the eastern and southern regions by early Tuesday. Winds will remain light, with temperatures ranging from 1°C to 6°C, though parts of Žemaitija may see slight frost.

Rain will persist in the eastern regions on Tuesday, with the west staying drier. Daytime temperatures will reach 6–11°C, climbing to 13°C in the far east, while winds from the north and northwest will strengthen to 6–11 m/s.

Conditions will gradually improve from Wednesday as high pressure builds, eliminating rainfall. Skies will clear, with temperatures rising to 9–14°C inland and 5–8°C along the coast. Northwesterly winds of 6–11 m/s will persist.

Dry and partly cloudy weather will continue on Thursday, with overnight lows of 0 to -5°C and daytime highs of 9–14°C inland, slightly cooler near the coast. Friday will see increasing cloudiness and scattered showers, particularly in the northwest, with temperatures between 8–13°C.

Saturday will bring light rain in places and stronger westerly winds, with overnight temperatures from -1°C in the east to 4°C on the coast, and daytime highs of 7–12°C. Easter Sunday is forecast to be dry and warmer, with temperatures rising slightly above previous days.
