Lithuanian prime minister to discuss security and defence with Norwegian officials
Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė will travel to Norway on Thursday to hold talks on security and defence, state news agency BNS reports.
According to Ignas Algirdas Dobrovolskas, an advisor to the prime minister, the visit will focus on “security and defence issues, the situation in the Middle East, and support for Ukraine.”
In Oslo, Ruginienė is scheduled to meet with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Speaker of the Parliament Masud Gharahkhani, and the chairs of the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committees. She will also participate in a roundtable discussion on Norway’s defence and advanced industries, meet with representatives of defence company Kongsberg, and engage with the Lithuanian community in Norway.
