Lithuania to see cloudy skies in the east and sunbreaks in the west

Cloudy weather will dominate Lithuania’s eastern regions while western areas experience sunbreaks on Thursday, according to the country’s Hydrometeorological Service.

Meteorologist Vytautas Sakalauskas told LRT Radio that an atmospheric front is moving across the eastern part of the country. Eastern regions will see mostly cloudy conditions, while western areas will have more sun. Southeastern Lithuania will also experience some clear spells.

Winds will be moderate, reaching 6–11 m/s, with no consistent direction. Temperatures will range from 6°C to 11°C inland, dropping to around 5°C near the coast.

On Thursday night into Friday, southeastern regions may see some clear skies, but light rain is expected elsewhere. Winds will be weak at night, shifting to westerly during the day at 4–9 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will hover around freezing, from -3°C to 2°C, before rising to 9–14°C inland and 5–8°C along the coast on Friday.

The weekend forecast predicts little rain, with light westerly winds and temperatures ranging from -3°C to 2°C at night. Daytime highs will reach 8–14°C inland and 5–8°C near the coast. Monday will remain dry, with overnight lows between -3°C and 2°C and daytime temperatures of 7–12°C.
