TS-LKD members begin ranking local election candidates

Members of the Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD) will begin ranking candidates for municipal elections in party branches on November 7 and 8, LRT reported.

Party executive secretary Kamilė Gogelienė said members will rank the alphabetically ordered lists of nominated candidates in person. Under the party’s rules, mayoral candidates can then change their lists by moving ranked candidates higher or adding candidates who were not ranked.

After changes by mayoral candidates and the TS-LKD Presidium, the revised lists must be submitted to the Central Election Headquarters by December 1, 2026.

The party is putting forward 58 lists of candidates for municipal councils and 57 mayoral candidates across Lithuania. The next municipal council and mayoral elections are scheduled for March 7, 2027.
