Friday 6th November 2026 on 09:01 in Estonia

Datasel, Estonia, Ministry of Defence

Estonia’s Ministry of Defence will not publish a report on processes related to Datasel because it refers to confidential documents, ERR reports. The ministry says it will share the report’s key findings with the public.

A working group set up by the ministry to examine the processes has completed its report. The ministry plans to present it to various parties, including parliamentary committees.

The group included officials responsible for information management, security and internal control, legal affairs, data protection and strategic communications at the Ministry of Defence. It also included officials from the Centre for Defence Investment responsible for procurement, legal affairs and foreign funding in international cooperation.

The ministry said it would not name any members of the working group because not all positions within its area of government are public.
