Twelve designers from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will present their work at Sustainable Fashion Baltics in Copenhagen from Feb. 2 to 4, 2027, alongside Copenhagen Fashion Week, ERR reports.

The Estonian designers taking part are Hannes Rüütel, Carolxott (Cärol Ott), Liina Viira and Reet Aus / AUS (Margaret Aus). The event is being organised through cooperation between Estonian Fashion Festival, Riga Fashion Week and Sustainable Fashion Week Vilnius, with four designers from each Baltic country.

The three-day programme will include presentations and public discussions introducing international fashion audiences to contemporary Baltic design. Its themes include material reuse, craft traditions, cultural identity and inclusive design.

The organisers say the event aims to raise the international profile of Baltic designers, encourage professional cooperation and help them build contacts in the global fashion industry. It is being held in cooperation with the Baltic Culture Fund and the Estonian Embassy in Copenhagen.

“Each Baltic country has distinctive and strong creators. By bringing them together, we can show the diversity of design in the region and give the designers a shared opportunity to gain international visibility,” said Indrė Jakaitytė, co-founder and head of Sustainable Fashion Week Vilnius.

Estonian Fashion Festival director Key Külaots said the selected designers demonstrate different ways to apply sustainability in fashion, from reusing materials and valuing traditional crafts to circular production solutions. Taking part in Copenhagen will give Estonian designers a chance to present their work to an international audience, make professional contacts and lay the groundwork for future collaborations, she said.

Riga Fashion Week head Elena Strahova said the designers bring their personal experiences, craft skills and cultural influences into contemporary fashion. The organisers hope the event will lead to lasting professional contacts and partnerships, she added.
