Finance Minister Taurimas Valys has returned to work after being treated in hospital last week when his health deteriorated, LRT reported. Deputy Finance Minister Jolanta Butkevičienė confirmed his return to ELTA on Tuesday, saying he was feeling well.
Valys felt unwell at work last Monday and sought help from his family doctor, who referred him to a cardiologist. After his condition worsened, he went to the emergency department at Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics.
He was still in hospital on Tuesday and was discharged on Wednesday. Valys was then given sick leave through Friday, with Transport Minister Juras Taminskas standing in for him.
