Rita Ray returns to Eesti Laul as a solo artist

Rita Ray says she is “very excited” to compete in Eesti Laul, Estonia’s song contest, as a solo artist for the first time. She previously took part 12 years ago with the band The Blurry Lane, ERR reports.

Her entry is called “Don’t You Agree”. Ray did not write it specifically for the contest: after completing the three-minute song, she decided to submit it, having never entered as a solo artist before.

Ray said the song’s style is very much her own, although its sound is somewhat different. Her Finnish producer is a big fan of 1960s music and writes and produces in that style, which she said she likes.
