Estonia to see sunshine and showers on Wednesday
Estonia will have a mix of sunshine and rain on Wednesday, with showers mainly in the west, ERR reports.
A high-pressure system over Russia is expected to have a slight influence overnight and during the day. Most of the country will remain dry, while clouds and showers move into the west, including the islands and the northwestern mainland, as a low-pressure system extends from the Norwegian Sea towards the Baltic Sea.
The night will be mostly dry, with occasional fog and temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees Celsius, rising to 10 degrees on the coast. Southerly and southwesterly winds will reach 3 to 9 metres per second, with gusts of up to 18 metres per second on the islands and western coast.
On Wednesday, western Estonia will be cloudier, with temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees. The east will have clearer skies and stay dry.
Showers are expected in western Estonia on Thursday, with isolated showers farther east. Rain will cross the country on Friday, while Saturday is expected to be mostly dry. Heavier rain clouds may arrive on Sunday. Nights will remain just above freezing, and the weekend will be cooler.
