Eesti 200 is preparing to contest Estonia’s next parliamentary election, party leader Kristina Kallas said, despite calls from some members of its parliamentary faction to sit it out, ERR reported.
“We are preparing for the parliamentary election and putting together our lists,” Kallas told ERR. The party has not yet chosen an advertising agency for its campaign. It has prepared a brief for agencies, she said, but may also develop its campaign concepts, including slogans, in-house.
Kallas declined to explain how the party would select an agency, saying the process was a business secret. Eesti 200’s candidate lists are expected to be finalised in early January, ahead of a submission deadline later that month.
The party’s election promises are expected to be made public soon. Kallas said Eesti 200 plans to establish its election council in early December, but declined to disclose any campaign pledges.
In mid-October, Eesti 200 parliamentary faction member Ando Kiviberg and faction leader Toomas Uibo told ERR the party should not run in the March election and should instead prepare for the 2031 election.
Eesti 200’s support has remained at around a few per cent in polls, which, according to ERR, would leave the party out of the new parliament elected on March 7.
