Liberal Movement to unveil 2027 election programme and mayoral candidates

The Liberal Movement will present its programme for the 2027 municipal elections and its mayoral candidates at a party council meeting on Saturday, LRT reported.

The programme will focus on municipalities’ financial independence, the quality of education, healthcare and cultural services, and opportunities for businesses and young families, the party said.

“We want municipalities to work responsibly for you, for every city, district and its people,” party leader Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen said. She added that the candidates would be ready not only to propose solutions but also to implement them effectively.

Direct elections for mayors and municipal council members are scheduled for March 7, 2027.
