Rain and cloudy skies are expected across much of Lithuania on Friday, but Saturday should be drier and brighter, meteorologist Paulius Starkus of the Hydrometeorological Service told LRT Radio, LRT reported.

Friday will be mostly cloudy, with sunny spells developing in southwestern districts in the afternoon and evening. Rain is expected in much of the country. It will most likely clear first in the southwest, while northern districts may see rain until evening. Temperatures will reach 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, rising to 13 to 14 in the southwest. Winds will be moderate and from the south.

Clouds will break up on Saturday night, with light rain possible only in northern districts. Fog may form in eastern districts towards dawn. Overnight temperatures will be 3 to 8 degrees, with slight ground frost in some places. Saturday will be dry, with temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees and fairly strong winds.

Rain is unlikely on Sunday night, when temperatures will again range from 3 to 8 degrees, with ground frost possible in some places. The first half of Sunday is expected to be sunny, but rain will move into western districts in the afternoon as winds strengthen. Temperatures will reach 10 to 15 degrees.

Monday is expected to be cloudy and windy, with rain in many places. It will be heavier in the west and lighter elsewhere. Daytime temperatures will be 8 to 13 degrees. Similar conditions are forecast for Tuesday.
