Argo Aadli flies to Kuressaare for theatre work

Actor Argo Aadli said he was surprised to discover he could fly to work in Estonia, as he travels from the mainland to perform in a Kuressaare Theatre production, ERR reported.

Aadli is appearing in the comedy Barefoot in the Park, playing a newly married young lawyer in love. He said it is his first time performing in a straight comedy and his first time playing a young romantic lead.

He and Grete Konksi are sharing the stage for the first time. They once appeared together briefly in a film, Konksi said.

Aadli praised Kuressaare Theatre’s auditorium and described its building as charming. He said he accepted the theatre’s offer after a lull in rehearsals and performances at Tallinn City Theatre. The opportunity, he added, was a source of joy.
