A goat named Lucy gave birth to rare triplets at Vahtra, a hobby farm in Kambja, ERR’s Terevisioon reported. The week-old Cameroon goat kids are one male and two females, farm owner Maia Näkk said.

“Three are born rarely. One or two is usual,” Näkk said. The kids do not yet have names, and people are welcome to suggest some.

The young goats are friendly and playful, and climb on Näkk when they get the chance. Cameroon goats grow to about 50 centimetres at the shoulder.

“We didn’t really expect it,” Näkk said, recalling that she went to the barn last Monday and found Lucy had delivered all three on her own. The kids will spend the winter in a warm barn with the adult goats and sheep. The farm has hay and feed supplies ready for them.
