Friday 16th October 2026 on 09:15 in Lithuania

Fog, vilnius, weather

Thick autumn fog reduced visibility on streets in Vilnius and other parts of Lithuania on Friday morning, LRT reported. Some drivers said they had to be more cautious, while others enjoyed the misty veil over the city.

The fog is expected to clear as midday approaches, but the Hydrometeorological Service forecasts fog in some parts of the country on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Saturday is expected to remain autumnal, with no significant rain forecast and light winds. Overnight temperatures will range from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, rising to 7 to 10 degrees on the coast. Frost of 0 to 5 degrees below zero is forecast locally in the air and widely at ground level. Daytime temperatures will reach 11 to 16 degrees.

On Sunday, light rain is possible in some places. Northerly to northeasterly winds will reach 6 to 11 metres per second. Temperatures will range from 3 to 8 degrees overnight, reaching 10 degrees on the Curonian Spit, and from 10 to 15 degrees during the day.
