A photo exhibition in Riga is raising money for equipment to support children’s rehabilitation in Lviv, LSM reported. “Ukraine’s DNA. 100 Days on the Road” opened near the Origo shopping centre and presents traveler Jānis Grandāns’s view of Ukraine and its people during the war.

The exhibition is raising donations with the charity organisation Ziedot.lv for the Unbroken centre in Lviv, where the funds will go towards equipment needed for children’s rehabilitation. It also aims to introduce visitors to life in Ukraine.

Last year, Grandāns and his son cycled 1,600 kilometres from Riga to Odesa. This spring, a 250-kilometre route was completed to raise donations. With support from Latvian Television viewers, several hundred bicycles have also been delivered to Ukrainian children.

Ukrainian Artem Basov, the exhibition’s first visitor, said: “This is the real Ukraine.” The exhibition will be open for several months.
