Estonia’s Isamaa party has increased its lead over the Centre Party, according to a poll published Wednesday by ERR. Isamaa is backed by 24.3% of eligible voters, compared with 21.7% for the Centre Party and 15.4% for the Social Democratic Party.

Isamaa’s support has risen by 1.5 percentage points over the past four weeks. The Centre Party’s rating has changed little, leaving a 2.6-point gap between the two parties.

The other parties in the poll are the Conservative People’s Party of Estonia, or EKRE, on 14.2%; the Reform Party on 13.1%; Parempoolsed on 6.3%; and Eesti 200 on 1.2%. Eesti 200 has not previously recorded such a low rating in Norstat’s party preference polls.

The parties in the governing coalition have combined support of 14.3%, while opposition parties represented in the Riigikogu, Estonia’s parliament, have 75.6%.

The results combine surveys conducted from September 14 to October 12 among 4,000 eligible voters. Norstat used telephone and online interviews, with telephone respondents making up the majority. Undecided voters were excluded when calculating party support. The maximum margin of error was 1.6 percentage points for Isamaa; for Eesti 200, it was 0.41 points.
