More than 8,100 visits were recorded during this year’s Open House Tallinn, which offered architecture and urban-space enthusiasts more than 360 free tours from October 9 to 11, ERR reported.

The most popular destinations were the Academy of Sciences, the former Seppo Clinic building, the Dominican Monastery Museum and Hopner House. Visitors also showed strong interest in the Vana-Lõuna tram depot and the National Library, which is due to open next year.

The festival’s eighth edition included 13 buildings for the first time. Producer Aleksander Tali said interest in some locations was unexpectedly high, and not everyone who wanted to join a tour could be accommodated.

Open House Tallinn is part of the satellite programme of the Tallinn Architecture Biennale.
