Police have launched an investigation after 14-year-old Mykolas went missing in Kaunas on Monday afternoon, LRT reports. He had not been found when the article was published.
Lithuanian Zoo representatives first shared the appeal for help because Mykolas is the son of one of its employees. He was last seen at about 1:15 p.m. on the Neris river embankment near Sąjungos Square, by a skateboarding and cycling park.
Mykolas is about 1.50 metres tall. He was wearing a dark blue jacket and green sports trousers, and had a blue helmet. He was riding a regular sports scooter with small wheels.
The appeal notes that Mykolas may have limited ability to communicate if approached. Anyone who has seen him, knows where he might be or has other information is asked to call his mother, Jelena, on 0 687 94576 or contact emergency services on 112.
Kaunas County Police confirmed the report and said an investigation had been opened.
